"To me, Peter is the closest thing to a golf monk as anything I know. He played golf back when you played for the love of it. Peter is otherwordly--he's like Mary Poppins." - John Ashworth

Peter Beames is a rare icon of golf. Touring the world as a competitive golfer, he has played against many of the greatest players of all time.

Starting his career by winning the Cheshire Boys championship in the U.K. by 12 strokes, Peter went on to top-10 finishes across the globe, notably leading the 1970 Dunlop Masters during the second day and ultimately finishing six shots behind Gary Player.

Peter later collaborated closely with Gary Player developing the Walk-Thru technique which subsequently turned into the bestselling book and instructional video, Walk-Thru-To-Par. George Peper named it one of the 47 greatest innovations to the game in "The Secret of Golf."

Dubbed "The Professor" by Linksoul for his vast knowledge of the game, Peter has been an active teacher, commentator, and writer of golf for decades. He is actively sought out by professional and amateur students alike.

His most recent endeavors include writing the book "The Boy Who Rode Clouds" and sharing the spirit of the game across the country.

"Living is giving and giving is living."

- Peter Beames
